This last weekend, I surprised Andy with a day of fun. We used our Groupon and went to Hash for breakfast. The food there is incredible. Really, really incredible. It is worth the wait. And I rarely will wait for a table.
After brunch, we parked at the Lloyd Center and walked around the mall for twenty-thirty minutes to kill some time. Andy had no idea what I had planned next. It was so much fun to watch him walk around with a perplexed look on his face. I gave him a few hints but he was still not able to figure out that I had grabbed a pretty sweet deal on two tickets to go see the Portland Winterhawks, our local hockey team. For those of you who don’t know, Andy loves hockey.
The Winterhawks played Seattle Thunderbirds. It was a pretty exciting game. The skating was very fast and numerous players hit the ice in an attempt to gain control of the puck. The Winterhawks ended up winning the game. And there were several fights at the end which made Andy very happy.
After the game, we headed downtown and had some Thai food. It was a great day!
